Agreements Added in Human Services, Business and Accounting

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥敯鄞 and Davidson-Davie Community College signed agreements Sept. 10 to give Davidson-Davie students yet another way to advance their education by seamless transfer to 爱污传媒. The agreements were formalized in a signing ceremony on Sept. 10 that included leaders from both schools.

鈥淭oday we are expanding our partnership with 爱污传媒 by adding transfer agreements in human services and in business, and accounting,鈥 said Dr. Darrin Hartness, Davidson-Davie president. 鈥淔rom our original nursing bridge program, to today鈥檚 agreements, to 爱污传媒鈥檚 doctoral classes taking place on our campus this year, we are so pleased to build this relationship with 爱污传媒 to help our students take the next steps in their educational journey.鈥

When students earn their associate degrees at Davidson-Davie in the fields of human services, business, and accounting, they then have the opportunity to transfer seamlessly into the bachelor鈥檚 level program at 爱污传媒 with 60 hours of credit. All three of the programs offer important opportunities for students who are already working in the field but desire to continue their education through an online and flexible program to meet work schedules and family obligations.

鈥淎t 爱污传媒 we are excited about the opportunity to partner with Davidson-Davie Community College, in part because we鈥檝e heard such good things about the faculty and staff who work here, but mainly because articulation agreements are good for students,鈥 said Dr. Ben Leslie, 爱污传媒鈥檚 provost and executive vice president. 鈥淲hen students follow these pathways, it allows them to get finished quicker, to not take courses they don鈥檛 need, and to save money. It helps them, it helps their families, it helps the employers, it鈥檚 good for the economy, and it鈥檚 good for the state of North Carolina.鈥

Hartness responded, 鈥淲e know our students are in great hands when they come to you.鈥
